The STAHLWERK AC/DC TIG 200 Puls Pro is a multifunctional TIG welding machine with MMA/ARC function for electrode welding, which offers relatively low weight and excellent welding properties with reduced power consumption thanks to advanced pulse width modulation (PWM) and state-of-the-art IGBT technology. The welding machine has a job memory as well as a pulse and spot function. The combination welding machine is also impressive when it comes to welding aluminum and thin sheet metal. The versatile inverter welding machine has a digital control panel with extensive functions and setting options for DC MMA, DC TIG, AC TIG, DC and AC pulse welding processes. The set welding parameters can be easily read on the clear digital display. The different modes can be quickly set using the intuitive menu.

Features

  • DC arc welding (MMA/MMA). MMA/manual electrode welding is a universal welding process as it can be used under almost all conditions. With MMA/manual electrode welding, different electrodes with different polarities can be connected.
  • DC TIG arc welding (DC TIG). TIG arc welding with direct current. The polarity of the tungsten electrode is either positive or negative throughout the welding process.
  • TIG pulse welding. In pulse TIG welding, a base current and a high pulse current of the same polarity are added at regular intervals to optimize the arc characteristics for the desired welding applications. This can avoid the risk of burning through thin materials and reduce the deformation of the material caused by the heat.
  • AC TIG arc welding (AC TIG). TIG arc welding with alternating current. The polarity of the electrode is alternately switched positive and negative throughout the welding process. Mainly used for welding aluminum and aluminum alloys.
  • AC TIG pulse welding. With AC TIG pulse welding, the pulse and alternating current modes are mixed, which can achieve an even more perfect welding result.
  • Spot function. An integrated spot function is used for spot welding thin sheets and body parts.
  • Job storage. Storage option for self-configured settings/presets. There are numerous storage spaces available.
  • Anti-stick (MMA). If the electrode sticks to the workpiece, the welding current is automatically reduced. The electrode does not burn out and can be easily removed from the workpiece.
  • Hot start (MMA). Automatic voltage increase at start for better ignition results. Prevents the stick electrode from sticking by briefly superimposing the set welding current and warms up the start of the weld seam more quickly.
  • Hot start (TIG). The Hot Start function enables a more consistent and stable start of the arc and increases the efficiency of arc welding. The hot start current can be adjusted between 30-150 A.

Features & Benefits

  • IGBT technology. Powerful, innovative solution that sets new standards in welding technology.
  • Smart cooling. A powerful fan enables maximum duty cycle to be achieved through excellent cooling.
  • ST-Guard housing. Is ergonomic, robust and operationally safe. The control panel is conveniently accessible and intuitive to use.
  • Gas flow. Thanks to the gas flow, the protective gas flow begins before the arc is ignited. This prevents the workpiece from coming into contact with air when welding begins. This protects the tungsten electrode from excessive wear and the weld seam from oxidation. The gas lead time can be adjusted individually depending on the welding requirements.
  • Gas follow-up. After the arc goes out, the tungsten electrode is cooled by the gas follow-up time and the melt pool is protected from oxidation.
  • The gas follow-up time can be set individually depending on the welding requirements.
  • Starting current. Current that is used when starting the ignition before it changes to the set welding current (4T).
  • Welding current. Infinitely adjustable welding current.
  • Final current. Current that comes on at the end of the ignition before the ignition goes out (4T).
  • Current increase. After the arc has been fully ignited, the welding process goes into the current increase phase, in which the welding current is increased linearly from the set starting current value to the desired welding current value (4T).
  • Current reduction. After the torch button has been pressed and released again (4T), the device enters an automatic current reduction phase. Prevents voids (end craters) at the end of the weld seam.
  • AC frequency. Depending on the material used, the frequency density of the AC waveform can be optimized. This accelerates welding performance and improves the shape of the weld seam.
  • AC balance. With this function, the positive and negative current cycles can be adjusted for better breaking of the oxide layer in the horizontal direction during AC TIG welding.
  • Cleaning stream. The cleaning stream serves to break up the oxide layer in the longitudinal direction and to accelerate the formation of the melt pool.
  • Impulse current. The pulse current is a higher welding current that periodically alternates with the lower base current.
  • Pulse width. The pulse width is the duration of a single pulse. The duration of the pulse current can be adjusted based on the pulse width.
  • Pulse frequency. The pulse frequency determines how often the current intensity switches back and forth between the pulse and base current set values in a specified period of time.
